Spousal Support

Spousal Maintenance is the payment of money from one spouse to another during a physical separation or during and/or following a divorce. Both Family Court and Supreme Court have the jurisdiction to enter Spousal Maintenance orders. New York law has newly enacted formulas within the Domestic Relation Law to guide the Courts in determining an appropriate award of Spousal Maintenance, if any, and the total monthly sum and duration of such awards. A determination as to what you can expect to receive or pay in terms of Spousal Maintenance can be addressed during a consultation with an attorney at Fersch LLC.
