Due to the nature of the cases Fersch Petitti LLC handles, its attorneys strive to come to reasonable resolutions through negotiation. When such resolutions are not possible, they are aggressive litigators with extensive trial experience.

SUMMER INTERN PROGRAM

Each summer, Fersch Petitti LLC selects summer interns. Interns who excel during their summer experience may be offered an extension of their internship through the school semester.

Interns are an integral part of how the office functions. Most of the attorneys who have worked and are working at Fersch Petitti LLC were summer interns.

Student interns research areas of the law relative to new clients and new issues and have the opportunity to go to Court with Fersch Petitti attorneys and work directly with their clients. Over the years, the services of the interns have been invaluable and have allowed the Firm to provide top-notch legal services without high costs.

In fact, Fersch Petitti LLC partner Danielle Petitti began her career at Fersch Petitti LLC’s precursor, the Patricia Ann Fersch Family Law Center, as a summer intern. Ms. Petitti was able to secure funding from New York Law School’s public interest grant to support her first summer of interning, and subsequently received work-study funding.

Intern applicants should have good research skills using either LexisNexis or WestLaw. They should have strong writing skills and be able to draft legal memoranda in a timely fashion. Interns should be able to function in a high-energy environment and meet deadlines.
